Well, an academic once quipped- if you have not gone through Shakespeare; there are chances that you do not know english.
Yes, one took his advice and read it oft and again.
It is a remarkable book and must be read . Shakespeare depicted english society as no one else. Literary critics may criticize him for being a royalist but it does not take away credit of creative brilliance from him.
Shakespeare has written a number of good books- Merchant of Venice, Othello, King Lear
His books are not only witty but also make one familiarize one with world of his era.
Some may treat it as a tough book as Shakespeare used Queen's english but then Shakespeare was not a lay writer but a wordsmith!
