Arbonne Consultant Review: Scam

Below is a letter I sent to a family member who unfortunatley has been sucked into this arbonne reseller scam, since then our relationship has been distant and I want to share this with others to avoid the same situation. Arbonne really does brain wash people, and if you known someone before and after their first arbonne meeting you will see what I mean by the way they talk and their facebook page! Any below is my analysis on Arbonne, keep in mind I have just graduated with a masters in business.

After thinking about it for a long while now I really don't think I will come on board with the Arbonne journey simply because after looking at it I completely disagree with it and its entirely against my business ethics, please don't take offence but here are my reasons-

  • Arbonne uses the typical American marketing strategy which is a very aggressive style of marketing which is widely frowned upon in international markets, I personally hate it because it forces the product/service into the customer/consumers face without giving them thinking space.

  • yes you can certainly make money from it but I couldn't, simply because I don't have very good charisma. There is no way you could succeed at Arbonne unless you had charisma, because its not the products you are selling its the story, you might disagree, but if you look at the overall picture think how you got into it, think about the events and meetings you go to do they talk about their riches and your potential to get their or do they talk more about the products and business itself without discussing wealth? The reason that couple and daughter have made it so well is because they have charisma and now the wealth to flash, with that you have the power to convert others into believing they can achieve it. I have also noticed all Arbonne participants talk the same, for example on facebook 2 of nics friends have joined Arbonne since then her facebook statuses no longer read things like "what a great night last night", they now read "would you swap your shampoo for £10, 000 a month?" and lots of other weird things, and that's both girls, which brings me to my next point.

  • when you combine the two above points you appear to have an adequately designed pyramid scam, I know its not a scam, because there is a product/service that is usable and has the possibility of attracting users, however the way the entire system is set up is that Arbonne really don't care about the products itself, the products are props in place to assist you in selling the ideology of the Arbonne "business", same with titles you gain, for example "area manager", think about it, what does the title give you? do you get input into how the company is run? what area are you managing? how do you manage that area? As mentioned before Arbonne doesn't care that much about its products, if they did the products would be on shelves worldwide, instead they rely on people like us to buy £1200 worth of products, which is far more than you would spend on products a year, depending on your income. But when you consider that the average income for the UK is £13-16k a year that's 10% of peoples wages after tax. So in other words its a nice way for them to generate large amounts of cash, in very short space of time. Although yes you make a return on getting people to buy into it but you could also make a return on investing £1200 into high yield investment programs with the same or less risk.

Overall don't get me wrong the potential to make money is certainly there, if you have the charisma and the results to show, but as mentioned its totally against my business ethics and I wouldn't do it, as I said before I would rather put £1200 into a HYIP where I can see a 50% return in 12 months with the same risk as Arbonne.
