My husband and I constantly dine at Applebee’s. Even before I met my husband a year and a half ago, you could find me at Applebee’s after any given rehearsal in NY, namely at the Bohemia Applebee’s located on the 454. Or, in the ANchorage Applebee’s while I was in grad school in ALaska. Or in the Orlando Applebee’s when visiting my father. I have also dined at Applebee’s in Murfreesboro, TN; Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; Crystal City, VA; and many many more that I can’t think of off the top of my head. i have never had bad service at any Applebee’s I’ve been to. And, believe me, I’m not the most patient person in the world.

In this review, I’m going to break down the different aspects of Applebee’s one at a time. Hopefully, you’ll take my review to heart and give Applebee’s a try yourself!

ATMOSPHERE
The atmosphere is fun and friendly, though can be a bit too noisy when you want to have a ’’quiet’’ dinner. The bar is usually located in the center of the restaurant, with two (2) - four (4) televisions playing different sports games. The tables around the bar are high and a lot of fun to sit at, when you’re in the mood. All throughout the restaurant’s walls you will see all sorts of memoribilia, usually centered around the city or county where the specific Applebee’s is located. For example, the Applebee’s near my home in Palmdale has photos of all of the different cheerleading squads and football teams of the various high schools located in the area. It’s neat, and it makes the patrons feel at home.

SERVICE
I have never encountered ’’bad’’ service at Applebee’s, and that’s including ALL of the different ones I’ve dined in. Once, the server came to our table and apologized because my husband’s steak was dropped in the back. The manager came out immediately and told us that my husband’s dinner, both of our drinks, and any desserts we’d like were on the house. Service is always done with a smile. Absolutely NO complaints in this department.

FOOD
Applebee’s offers a wide variety of food. From the Oriental Chicken Salad to the House Sirloin, anyone can find something that they would enjoy. The salads are always fresh and crispy. The steaks are done to perfection. The veggies are tasty. The desserts are satisfying. They also have vegetarian selections, a children’s menu, and ’’lighter fare’’ for those patrons watching their weight. I highly recommend the house sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes.

PRICE
For the quality and quantity of food you’re getting, the price is unreal. The house sirloin dinner I keep mentioning comes with a choice of potato, the day’s vegetables and a piece of garlic toast... for a mere $11.99! Appetizers run from $4 to $9. Desserts are usually around $4.50.

In conclusion, Applebee’s is a great place to eat, whether you’re with your family, friends or on a date.
