One of my cousin as well as my neice study at Apostolic Carmel High School - Mumbai. The cousin is in the 3rd grade, while the other is in senior K.G. now. Apostolic also has a junior college and is a convent school for girls, run by mostly nuns, while there are also teachers who are not nuns. Seeking an admission here is a great task. Neither the watchman nor any of the office administrators will ever tell you about when the forms are going to be out. You have to keep running every morning at around 7 AM in the mornings during admission season.
The medium of instruction is English and the board is S.S.C. This is one of the most hyped and reputed school in Bandra. It has a good infrastructure and very strict rules and regulations. Parents or any other patrons are not allowed to enter the premises except on Open House or PTA meetings. So, the security is very fine.
I am mostly happy about everything about Apostolic, except the attitude of the teachers. In one word, most of them are simply rude and unapproachable. There is sort of favouritism out here, and sometimes they lack to motivate students who aren't really that proficient at academics. While my cousin is exceptionally brilliant and participates in many exams at national levels, scoring among the top three, she is loved and pampered by her teachers. While my neice is a little weak, her teachers always keep complaining to her parents, which boosts down her morale. I only wish they would encourage her to do better, instead.
