Apollo hospital in greams road is famous for its hospitality & services. Hence, my family decided to take the treatment for my neurological problems from here. The doctor whom I met was very much experienced and well behaved lady. The receptionist are friendly whereas few staffs behave unprofessional like cashiers, guards, etc.
My Bad experience:
But, when I visited a doctor of ortho department(Dr. Madan Mohan Reddy) for my backbone problem, he didn't even bother to check my problem rather he told his junior doctor to check my problem. Later, he told my parents to visit him or else he won't be able to take the case further as I am too young to understand it. I made a call to my father and he came after two days via flight which were too costly at that time. I took my father to him and he was like that there was no need to bring your father. The case could have solved easily by his own when he came to know that my father is a doctor too. He beacme too sweet after meeting my father. I am seriously frustrated by this doctor. For this person, I have wasted my time as well as my father's time and money. May be he is a very experienced doctor who got his graduation from foreign colleges or anywhere but he don't have the right to waste the time of a patient.
In General:
The hospital is mostly crowded with foreigners and people outside of Chennai. Since, this is a private hospital, so charges are very high but the service is good. Before 2 years, I have done a small surgery for my back bone at this hospital and currently I am working fine only. I recommend this hospital to the people as I am satisfied with their hospitality and services rather than that ortho doctor. ATM are also present inside the hospital compound. We can pay through cash / card in this hospital. Overall, I love them as they keep our long term health check up data record with them and provide an identity card for the patients. Its better to set up an appointment early to avoid unnecessary waiting in queues.
