My Aunt, who lives outside Bangalore had to undergo Varicose Veins surgery and it was my responsibility to get her laser surgery done by a good Doctor. I googled and found couple of docs. But because Mr Narasimhan is from Apollo(which I assumed would be good, judging from its big infrastructure) and of course his own website and the testimonials there, I decided to take her there.
This doctor is one of the worst I have ever met and will regret forever that I took my Aunt to him. He is extremely moody and often very rude, has no respect towards an individual(he does not even spare patients, when they are in pain). He is damn expensive and his attitude is as though he treats you for free. But I am sure he has his own ways to survive in his profession as I see few testimonials on his personal site, and he has made sure his name comes up in the google when one is looking for a "Vascular Surgeon". That is how I took the bait.
When we consulted him for the first time he said, he would perform surgery only on one leg, but as soon as we told him she has insurance coverage he said both the legs need surgery, which we went ahead with. The operation was OK, she was discharged in two days, but my Aunt had pain in the thighs and legs, which he said would subside as soon as she would start walking. I got her to my house for 2 weeks so that she could recover.
My aunt developed Hernia after two weeks of surgery and I took her to the same hospital, even though it is 25 kms from my place, as I thought we could consult him for any complications that would arise from Hernia Surgery. We also requested him to come and visit her in the ward during our one week stay so that he could take a look at her legs and advise anything as she was not able to walk now and the pain in the veins did not subside. We made multiple attempts to get him to visit her. Even when other doctors had asked him to visit her, he made sure he dint see her, even when he was in the same floor. So my Aunt spent 5.5 lakhs, out of which 2 lakhs were claimed by the insurance(btw the hospital is very very expensive, dont even think if you dont have an insurance) for two surgeries and the main problem why she came to Apollo still persists:( All thanks to Mr Narasimhan and his arrogance. She curses him every single day. I feel guilty too for taking her there!
Mr Narasimhan - if you are reading this you should be ashamed of your behavior, people take you sh*t just because they see a hope in you. And you just exploit them. They are many other reviews about you on the net and you should read them and try and mend your ways(which I highly doubt you wont). You are not a god, just a doctor, at the right place and at the right time. You may run out of luck at any time.
Message to the readers: Let this doctor be the last on your list, trust me pls.
