I was undergoing some medical issues for couple of months all of a sudden. But no doctor was able to diagnose the cause of nausea, lethargy, weakness etc. I had undergone tests ranging from simple blood tests till MRI and citi Scan with no outcome at all for almost 2.2 months. Dr Rabindra suggested me to go and see Dr Anoop immediately. I went and he wrote some blood tests. I had hardly reached home when Dr Anoop called personally to ask me to come back for some more tests and some treatment. I was relieved that I finally know that I have a diagnosis. well.I was diagnosed with AML4( a form of Leukemia) on 25th July 2016. the same night treatment started.
He didn't give time to even think but started the treatment immediately. But I thank my stars today that I was sent to him by God himself. He and his team was exceptionally good. He started my chemotherapy within 2-3 days after completing a test required. I negotiated with him after every painful chemotherapy of reducing the number of Chemos but he didn't buzz. Most of the doctors advise Bone Marrow transplant but he didn't.
He used to be really very concerned and serious during my chemotherapy sessions. but cheerful during the recovery period. that was the best thing I liked about him. I could always see the unspoken concern in his eyes when he will come for his daily visits of "what new side effect". They tried different drug company as it seemed the best one was not suiting me and I had lot of side effects.
There were many breakdown moments as treatment was painful, but he never lost hope and always had some thing or other to soothe me, give me comfort whatever way he and his team could.
I owe my life to him AND really pray for him to be blessed always so that many more like me can get cured.
Apollo had out of the world caring nursing staff. I have pics of all of them with me. Yes I did have issues with Hospital Billing staff though. Hope if they improve on that part, its the best.
