I am Lakshmi, 51 years old, have been suffering from diabetes since 7 years and my sugars were constantly high(400-500) & sometimes fluctuating. I met various doctors & I was advised medicines but inspite of taking them regularly, it did not work.
So while I was discussing about my health issues with my neighbor, she said that there is a Diabetologist by the name Dr Sekhar at the Apollo clinic, kundalahalli & I should consult him. I met Dr.Sekhar, he is such a warm-hearted person, soo kind, always smiling inspite of me being last patient for the day. He examined me and he went through my reports.
He gave me two options insulin/tablets. He also explained that if I take insulin my sugars would be controlled faster but I chose tablets. He also advised about exercise and at this point I would like to convey a message to all the diabetics out there that there is no doctor till date who has counselled me about my diet in this manner, like eating in a small plate, not to watch tv while having a meal etc. I had a smile on my face but these are some facts which are actually true and should be followed.
I followed his advise & checked my sugars after 3 weeks it was 104 fasting & 130 postprandial. I have no issues with my sugars now. I am really happy now and quiet relieved. Thankyou Dr Sekhar, you are one of a kind.
