This film is a must see .Even if you have watched it for 3 times !!!!! Anbe Sivam is an absolute classic and it is really unfortunate that this film did not do well commercially.In fact from this yardstick ,I think I shall avoid taking box office performance as an indicator of the quality of a film.

The movie not only opens you to our country but also images from your own past beliefs and actions.It straddles such topics like humaneness , workers rights in a capitalist society , art and its expression and forgiveness.

The performance of Thalaiva kamal is just superb.There are scenes which just etch themsleves on to your mind.Like the scene when Kamal looks at the heroine’s car wioth anger- blood flowing from his head, the end scene when Kamal and his dog walk towards nowhere as the clouds start pouring rain , all the songs and of course the first scene when he looks at himself in a pool of water.

Let such movies thrive and hope we all make up for not seeing the movie in theatres by buying VCDs of this movie. that is a decision which I am sure none of you would regret .
