Pros:
Dialogues, Story theme, Kamal
Cons:
Age old worker-employer tussles

There are only a handful of movies in Tamil that make us leave the theatre with a satisfaction despite a not-so-happy ending. Ladies and Gentlemen, here is one such film that lingers in our hearts where,
Kamal has transformed himself once again to be remembered as Nallasivam. His crooked face and limped walk though pitiful but thankfully not misused as a teargas of dread sentiments

Kamal is a communist thinker and Madhavan is a high-class, irritative ad-film director. The story is all about what happens when these two guys destined to come together in a journey of their lifetime than kindles everyones ideals.

Love is God; God is Love is the theme but, the former is stressed up throughout the movie. Most of the plot takes place in a journey which could be very well be compared to our life journey where we meet a lot of people of all shades. It’s a mini life experience we get from this movie.

Kamal’s feel-good way of handling life and his always available answers to all questions rubs our conscience and irritates Madhavan. His momentary twist of face during close-ups and helpless looks once again loudspeaks why Kamal is quoted next to Sivaji Ganesan. Madhavan handles the role with aplomb when showing disgust on Kamal’s action and words. It’s high time for Madhavan to sign up for challenging roles than peacefully running around trees as a lover boy. Kiran miraculously hides her her navel areas throughout the movie and emotes adequately at needed scenes. Naser as a typical villain is passable. The flashback with communistic scenes reminds us of the movies in 80’s where Chandrasekar used to appear in red shirts as a union leader.

With his nowadays roughened voice Kamal sings “Yaar Yaar Sivam..” that brings a sense of “deja-vu” which, is hard to recollect. The picturing of the song with Kamal recovering from an accident is quite commendable. Dialogues with communistic overdose push up the otherwise slow screenplay. Sentiments and comedy are balanced from scene to scene. The train accident and Yugi Sethu’s subsequent beat ups are nicely handled.

In a nutshell, it’s a walkthrough of life journey on humanitarian and communistic vehicles that melts our hearts all along the way. A Soulful Experience
