ABP used to be no. 1 newspaper of Bengal. But starting from late 90s it started loosing readers. With time profit margin declined and they reduced their workforce more than 50%. Thus once the best newspaper of Bengal lost its credibility as first hand news source.
This also made it dependent more and more on fund from political outfits. The newspaper which once took part in fight of Indian independence, now run by anti-national political parties. Its news credibility is now seen as per same level of newspapers like'Ganashkti', 'Jagobangla' etc. Like those two newspapers which write for CPIM and TMC, ABP now also known as newspaper of Congress party.
But still you may trust sports news published by ABP, but for other pages it only shows what we may say view point of Congress.
