Sorry, but this not a booker material, but that doesn't mean book is not attractive and lacks practicality .indeed its a good book but I feel it just below the booker material.

its definitely a good patches when we talk about the book.the story is very nice but the end look too dramatic or should I say filmy. some places it seems the author-tried to fill the pages . but the details are superbly narrated, like the struggle of central character and his music making passion is written well.narrating about past of central character is also too eye candy and strikes the brain when reading.

The end don't delivers as expected by the reader, just by the shallow written and a nice try to sum up so quickly by the author breaks the patience and, suddenly it becomes a mediocre book. Definitely the booker might be rigged otherwise how could the book by anita desai be nominated and finally it won the Amsterdam book is nice, plays with the author mind, makes feel good but surely it don't deserve to be awarded with booker .its sheer coincidence that it won one .

Just one thing, don't bye just borrow and read if you want .
