Amitabh Bachchan, wow what a wonderful personality and an astonishing voice. He is truly a living legend of our country.

He was born as the son of a very famous poet Mr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan on 11th october 1942 in Allahabad, U.P. After completing his graduation from Sherwood college of Nainital, and Kirori Mai college of Delhi, he moved to Calcutta to work for shipping film Shaw and Wallace.

Later, he moved to Bombay and struggled for a while to get his foot in the door of Hindi cinema .

Big B made an entry in Bollywood as his first hit with Zanjeer, with a famous dialogue we all had in our minds " Jab tak baithne ko kha na jaye, khade raho ye police station hai tumhare baap ka ghar nahi ". After that movie he never looked back. And got a new name for himself " The Angry Young Man" of bollywood.

He later married to his co-star Shri Jaya Bahaduri and had two children, Abhishek and Shweta .His son and his daughter in law Aishwarya Rai are also in the film business whie Shewta is married to a businessman and has a child.

Bachchan reworked the image of the Hindi film hero with major hits like Deewar, Sholay, Trishul, Don, Kala Patthar, and Shakti . Adapting former screen idol Dilip Kumar's mannerisms and adding his own flamboyance, he popularised the violent era.

The Shahenshah works with the Indian govt's media campaign to publicize the National Immuniozation Days and Swach Bharat abhiyaan too. In 1984, the Indian govt honored him with the Padma Shri Award for his outstanding contribution to the Hindi film industry.

He is the only actor to achieve at least one hit every year for 15 years. He won the National Award for his portrayal of underworld kingpin in Agneepath(1990) . In 2001, he was awarded with Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Indian cinema.

Even today, he is not only busy as ever, but also shows the same energy and enthusiasm for his work which is commendable . There are no two ways about it Legends like Amitabh Bachchan come but once in a lifetime . At sixty+, Big B is greater icon than he was at the height of his popularity three decades ago.
