The movie might be funny for some but overall it is a pathetic mockery of the Indian culture.

Having myself being a TA for 5 years and seen dozens of other FOB TA’s (as they are derogatorily referred to by the second generation Indian Amrericans), not once I have seen or heard any stupid incidents as potrayed in the movie.

Forget about getting drunk like that, TA’s never ever have anything personal with the students (it would be a violation of University policies).

Also it reflects the sad attitude of second generation Indian Americans.
They are ashamed of their roots.
They why the heck do they call themselves Indian Americans, thinkin that aloo puri is cool and ’’Let’s go for the Shah Rukh Khan night yaar’’.

They are just Americans and they better accept it.
That way they can respect both the cultures.

Another sad thing which the movie truly reflects is the direspectful attitude the second generation towards their parents.

They forget that their parents were once in the same category that they so happliy classify as FOB’s
