This mutant produce of the Indian Entertainment-branch has unfortunately not fulfilled its task to understand life of pakistani and indian people. Projecting them as confused, fragile and stubborn people was not very reasonable. Movies such as Monsoon Wedding or Bend it like Beckham have beautifly and truthfully explained and projected the typical indian and pakistani life with its ups and downs. Vast potential lies in the idea of American Desi. The pursuit of realising this idea however tragically failed publishing mere stupidity and mind-numbing characters. The idea of American Desi has not yet lost its charisma and should be realised by any other regisseur who truly respects and understands indian and pakistani ways of life.
