How many times will we repackage the tired old boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, girl falls for boy, Villain (girls wannabe boyfriend) pissed tries to sabotage the relationship, succeeds first
then is beaten by the boy who claims his true love. Its said familiarity breeds contempt but when its Indian cinema it only breeds. So much for the plot for there is none worth speaking of.
The portrayal of the older folk be it the parents of the leading characters or their elder relatives is trite. They seem to be ever willing to hand out twenties to anyone who touches their feet so naturally there is this smart gora who makes a bundle doing exactly that.
the movie seems to suggest that neo adults are the only normal people (or cool suit yourself) among the Indians living in the US of A. Most characters are weakly composed and at best shallow. However what has been lost in the storyline and rather indifferent acting has been made up for by slick presentation and direction.
If anything this is a terrific showcase of Piyush Pandyas repackaging and directing skills. There are novel often comic situations cleverly woven into the plot that keep your mind far away from the weak story line. There is item after item and they just keep coming and before you know it the story has been played out between the laughs, the buffoonery and cheap jokes and its time to leave.
There is little you will remember from this movie except perhaps the fact that it was light fun and entertainment. Watch it if you have nothing better to do for two hours and you will not regret having spent the money.
