Just saw the movie and tell u what cant stop gushing over it .A simple story establishing a fact that technical advancement doesnt help cultural bankruptcy and thats what the director wants to potray and he does it in an excellent fashion . Cut then to an average American family where we have members who desperately want to get in terms with their selves and their basic instincts . Mom is so disillusioned by success that she unwittingly sleeps with a ’’more successful ’’ man. Dad dosent fail to reflect that he is a complete loser and suddenly he wants to be a winner and whats funniest is that he gets in terms with his sexuality when he should grow wary of it .Like he says to his neighbours ,’’i want to look good naked ’’!! In the coarce of this he also manages to fall for his daughters friend and literally oogles at her.So there. Daughter wants to get rid of her parents which she feels are an embarresment to her .Like she tells her boyfriend ’’will u kill my dad for me’’. ....And the story goes on ..believe me u have got to see it .Its that good !! Of the cast Kevin spacey is brilliantly funny and unpridictable, potraying the characters eccentricity in an excellent fashion delivering an Academy award winning performance .But what i feel is that the cake is taken by Annette Bening who delivers a Tour de Force performance be it her tounge in cheek dialogue delivery or her frustrations she is absolutely brilliant . OF the direction Sam Mandes takes care of every aspect and makes sure that every emotion is lined out and the best thing about the movie is that he manages to give this grim masterpiece a veil of a black comedy.Hands up to him .just one word :BRILLIANT !!. So all in all a very very watchable movie .I loved it
