Almora - A beautiful city at Kumaun Division in Uttarakhand State. It is not only a hill station, it has historical values too. It was the capital of Chand dynasty who ruled uttarakhand for several decades. It has a famous "LALA BAJAR" for shopping. Accessibility of this district city is easy and you can reach there via road from Haldwani through taxi, buses etc. Plenty of hotels in reasonable rates are available there. You can easily move around - Kasardevi, Jageshwar, Binsar from here. As this is head quarter of Almora district, all the facilities and amenties are easily available. If you are at Almora, don't forget to eat " BAAL MITTHAI" and " SINGAURI" Mitthai. Winters are very cold there and the best season to visit Almora is March to June.
