Alliance Air - you certainly want no alliance with this airline. The less u travel using this, the better.
I really have not travelled much by this airlines, not that I want to. The nightmare begins

from the moment you start your journey.

The last time I travelled by this airlines was in Feb 2006, when we flew to Udaipur to kick off our Rajasthan tour.

The flight was initially to take off at 12pm. We landed at Mumbai’s airport at  10.30 am keeping in checkin regulations. At around 11am, we get a ’helpful’ call telling us that the flight has been rescheduled to 2 pm, sorry etc blah blah. The agony started then.

All passengers, were treated to the sight of the various flights taking off during our wait.Not once during this ordeal, were we able to sight the rare species of Alliance air personnel. At 2 pm, we heard the not so familiar squeak announcing security check for our flight. Atlast we were going to take off. Whew. After security check, we went to the departure lounge and sat down waiting for our flight. Soon there was an announcement - Flight delayed by 3 hours. time - 5 pm. Jeez, give us a break. Technical snag the reason cited this time. Can u possibly imagine the state of us passengers. At 5 pm, we aretold that the flight will take off at 6 pm. Then at 6 there is an announcement for a further delay - take off time 7pm.

It was just about all that we could take. There was no alliance species around all the time. Just as we were about to take a tour of the place to get something to eat, when suddenly, we are told that the flight is ready to take off. This by the extict species, suddenly making an appearance and setting up counter ( No announcements pl note ). And so it was that all passengers walked to the plane.

When we neared the plane, a few foreigners, even made a crack at the flight crew - Will this thin take off.? A look at the aircraft certainly justified the question.

Well, we were soon seated, and as they plane rattled on the runaway, we wondered about the destination. Would we take off normally? The air crew, was courteous, I guess they had no choice there, for people would otherwise have torn them to pieces. every one was at their wits end.

When we landed at Udaipur, the only feeling we all had - Never again with Alliance.
My entire day was shot, since we spent the entire day at the airport.  Forget a kind word or gesture. No employee was around .
