Allahabad bank is a very old nationalized bank of our country, but I share bitter memories with this bank in the past. I took a home loan in the year 2001 amounting Rupees 8 lac. Then after three years, I needed to enhance the loan claiming for renovation of it. However, the disgusting part of it was that the concerned manager demanded Rupees five thousand of bribe to sanction the loan which I was bound to do and the loan was sanctioned.
Again, I closed the loan in the year 2010. I had earlier deposited two of my LIC policies towards the loan in the bank. When I closed the account, only one of the policies were returned and they could not find the second one. It is already more than 5 years since then and I have not yet received it. So for me, this bank is absolutely disgusting from my bitter experience.
