Hello friends, I have been using Airtel since 29th Feb 2008. Prior to that I was using MTNL. Airtel, no doubts is a good brand for Internet

services but I am not the one who should appreciate being a broadband & phone user. Phone services have been really good. Since 29th Feb 2008, the DSL worked absolutely fine with no trouble for atleast first 10-15 days but after that I have had only troubles nothing else. I am using my own Netgear DG 632 Modem/Router. This router has been working amazingly with MTNL for more than 3 years. There does not seems to be an issue with the modem. I have never got what I have been promised. If we talk about DSL Plan Speed, Let me tell you I have a Combo 999 wherein I have unlimited data download with 256 kbps line. If you are using a 256 kbps line, the speed according to AIRTEL Tech’s should be somewhere around 384 kbps. But I have never got more than 260 - 290 kbps. Upload has been stable at 438 kbps. Lets talk about the transfer speed or transfer rate. Whenever you try to download a bigger file of say about 100+ MB, the transfer rate will never be more than 27 - 29 KB/sec, so whats the use of this amazing Airtel Broadband service. There have been numerous incidents wherein the DSL has stopped working, I have called their tech support. I have spoken to tech support for not less than 15 times in a month. They have given me various case # or reference #’s but there has been no rebate/waiver/discount in the bills that I have received so far apart from the latest MAY bill. I WILL REQUEST EVERYBODY TO THINK 100 TIMES BEFORE GETTING THIS DSL SERVICE.
