Twice I approached Airtel telephone/broadband customer
service and it was an awesome experience!
First time I called
Airtel telephone for my dead phone. The phone was not dead
because of any line or instrument problem; it was because the splitter got wet and
stopped working. This was purely because of my negligence that the splitter got
wet and the phone was dead. I called Airtel customer care in the night and they
apologies that it wouldnt be possible to fix it that day but will be fixed by
13:30 hrs next day. That was the deadline for the service engineer and if it
was not fixed by that time they give a penalty of Rest. 100!! As soon as I
booked the complaint I got an SMS regarding complaint details and the deadline
to fix it.
I was in office next day and got a call from airtel service personnel at around
12:00 hrs. I told them that I would be available at home only by 19:00 hrs.
They asked me to call them once I reach home. I reached home at around 18:50
and gave a call to the service guy and he turned up home at 19:00!! He fixed
the issue in 15-20 mins and the customer care called me and confirmed that the
service guy was here on time and fixed the problem to my satisfaction.
Next I called customer care for setting up my wireless router. They said online
support for wireless router is not provided but they can arrange an engineer
to visit the place and fix it by next day 15:38 hrs. I called at around
17:00 hrs. Well, I purchased to router and airtel need not take-up the task of
configuring it, but they offered it! I was really surprised! To add more
surprise, I got a call from the engineer at 18:00 hrs to check my availability
to visit my home to fix the issue. I was at home and they turned up in 10 mins!
They configured my router and my two laptops to access wireless Internet
connection. They also advised me about possible problems I may face and how to
fix it. That was amazing! They made sure that I am fully satisfied with the
service before leaving home.
Before airtel I was using DataOne. I have no complains regarding the quality of
the product but the service is not really good compared to airtel.
The speed is something you are never satisfied with. But
whatever Airtel gives at 256kbps unlimited, I am happy with it.
Connection reliability is excellent. I have never
experienced bad or unscheduled down connection. Whenever they bring it down
they inform the customer well in advance. This down time is always after
midnight when most of the customers are not using the service.
Service and support is awesome! Can I rate it more than
excellent?
I don’t think anyone can beat Airtel service! I highly recommend Airtel for
telephony and broadband.
