Took up the unlimited plan ~Rs900 pm so that we dont have to bother about how much were using etc. I had tried it in gurgaon and delhi with good results. in pune its a different story.
their
cheque collection is a nightmare - you put it in the dropboxes they specify but then get calls from them asking why we havent paid. when you say you have (and in a couple of cases, the chq has been cashed as well), they take down all details but then someone else will call the next day. And a couple of times, they even disconnected the internet / barred outgoing calls even though the money was paid. Any interaction with their customer care is not less than 30 minutes and their history always is incomplete/ they always place you on hold for long periods during a call
final straw came sometime back when the phone line went dead / along with the internet. i called after 3 days- filed first complaint (Mr Vishal) , was promised it would be fixed by 1345 next day. Then called the day after, was promised phone fixed in 24 hours (Ms Roma). called again, the day after, was told it would be fixed within the day (Mr Nikhil)+ would get call from supervisor (Mr Dushyant) within the hour. I called the same evening go Nikhil again who promised he would look into the matter and revert within an hour - zip / zilch / nada ! i also wrote an email to the nodal officer and the apellate authority 2 days ago.
the amazing thing is i have not once been contacted by any one from airtel through this whole period - not even one phone call chasing up on what i assume is a still unresolved complaint number, forget actually getting a technician to come and correct the issue.
ive now decided to file a complaint at the local district forum, asking for Rs 10000 compensation for my troubles / their unfulfilled promises.
Any one from airtel care to explain ?
