In 2003 BC ,I mean when the good broad bands (like Airtel) were not prevalent , I was a victim of Citi cable broad band connection with 2000/- for installation and 1000 a month towards the rental for the connection which was supposed to be 24hrs but was never available for more than 2.4 hrs a day .

The name Tata indicom gives me sick feeling as you will get more calls from their call center (billing)than your relatives and friends .They will call to say that your bill is in the process of generation , that it is now generated(what a great favor to the world) ,it is now being dispatched , it is on the way ,Did it reach you(at least 3 different callers) and finally did you pay(5 calls) if so when ,how, how much and so on. If you don’t answer them properly, they will simply cut your connection which is anyway pathetic with frequent interruptions.
I took Airtel connection 699/- a month 128 kbps with free landline ( rental), six months back and I can say that it is the best and world class
The speed, connectivity, customer service, everything exceeded my expectations.

In our country (may be our city) it is prevalent that when a new person occupies an apartment in a complex, the tendency of the wire man or electrician(may be even the owner) is to remove the neighbor’s wire while connecting his new phone.
So, last month when a friendly neighbor came in to live, my telephone was ruthlessly cut along with other horror effects.
I called the Airtel and lodged a complaint as both my land line and broadband are gone. What happened after was a wonder .The guy came in 30 minutes and fixed the phone.
In the world of arrogant Tata indicoms and jungle law practices, Airtel is most welcome and very refreshing. Yes, our country is advancing.
