DON'T USE AIRTEL DIGITAL TV

I am having Airtel Digitel TV connection for the last few years. ID No. 3002236152 with Recording facility and recharged for 1 year. Recently the picture quality goes bad and TV becomes blank. We get a message saying "This is due to bad weather or improper connection". When the weather becomes normal and still problem persists, I made a complaint to the customer service on 25th September 2017.


They sent a mechanic called Santosh Salunke(Mob No. 9503360015) on 27th September. He is a useless mechanic. He checked and told me that the problem is with LNB and next day he came and changed LNB. I paid Rs 775/- for this. Still problem not solved. He told the problem is with the connectors and replaced the connectors. Problem remains. Then he told me there are some branches of tree which is obstructing the signal. I told this tree and branches were there before the problem starts. Even then I a cut and removed the tree branches. Still problem not solved. Then he told me that there is a problem in the Set-up box and it is under warranty and he will get it replaced with a new one. Then he told me that you don't contact the customer service any more. I shall solve your problem.


After ten days I contacted him again. He is not picking the phone. Then I understood he is a big cheat.


Then again I contacted the customer care and they give new complaint number. But nobody came to attended my issue. After few days they send messages to my registered mobile saying " You were not reachable" and closed the complaint.


Continuously I followed up with them. My complaint Nos are - 65857224, 66512186, 66991757, 66991784, 67101263, 67700869, which were made on different occasions in the past two months. Every time I receive a message or mail saying we are sorry for your inconvenience and give some phone number to contact. Last I contacted one Mr Sheik(Mob No. 7420010053). He is another fraud which gives false promises and committed so many dates to solve the problem. Now a days he is also not picking my phone.


For the last 2 months my Airtel TV is dead.


At last 2 weeks before, I took Tata Sky TV connection and it is working perfectly well. This is as per the recommendation of my friends and colleagues. They all hate Airtel TV.


From my experience, I sincerely tell you all don't go for Airtel TV for the following reasons.




  1. Their service is very bad




  2. Technicians won't attend your call




  3. The position of their dish is such that if any small obstruction can disturb the signals. Their dish is not facing the sky.






If you have already Airtel TV, please don't recharge for long period like one year or six months. Re-charge for only one month so that you can shift to another service provider. Now I lost the cost of set-up box(almost Rs 9000) and one year subscription.


I strongly recommend Tata Sky.
