I have a postpaid Airtel number that gives 4GB 4G data as complimentary on per month basis in my unlimited calling pack at 399 + taxes.
I live at the outskirts of Jalandhar city. Though calling network of Airtel is fantastic here but when it comes to 4G Internet usage it makes me cry sometimes.
Here is my experience :
Whenever I turn my 4G or LTE data on, it redirects my signal to 3G. Though I cam see speed of 6mbps on TRAI app's speed test, but sometimes it hardly gives 0.2 mbps.
I get 4G signal only at my rooftop. Inside the house if I use 4G It makes my mobile battery burn like anything. Headset becomes too hot due to loss of regular 4G signal.
Though I have complained a lot on customer care, they always say that, We have registered your feedback. But its been a lot of time now.
YouTube starts buffering even at 240p videos.
Hence I would recommend to test airtel 4G signal at your place prior subscribing this Airtel 4G, because you may not get that kind of super fast network as shown in the daily TV Advertisements.
I am planning to look alternatives soon.
