I am not happy with Aircel

I have used almost all the mobile connections, either pre- paid or post paid since last 12 years. So, I am fully aware of the pros and cons of these mobile operators.


At the present time, I am using Aircel prepaid conncection for my business communication purpose. I have made this decision 2 years back, when I decided to spare my pre paid connection SIM from Airtel just for my communication with the family.


Aircel was launching some new plans at that time, and for both local and STD, they seemed to be the best one at the market. I personally asked about Aircel tower issue to the marketing guy and my local shop vendor and both of them assured me of getting a good tower, far more better than Vodafone and Airtel. I did not believe them though, but still opted for Aircel prepaid as rates were really cheap. I was talking at least 5-6 hours per day both local and STD due to launch of a new project, so Airtel seemed to be a costlier option.


I went for a 3G SIM as I always need to check my mails and reply back when I am on the move too.


2 years later, I am simply fed up with the connection and the performance of Aircel.


First on the Internet side, lots of features are activated even with out my consent, and repeatedly amount is deducted from my prepaid account. I visited couple of times to my nearby aircle store, they found out some of the subscriptions on my mobile, that I never imagined to have subscribed! They helped me to get rid of some of them, but they could not solve all the problems.


Finally, the guy asked me not to recharge on main account as it would cut money again and again, he advised me to use call balance recharge, sms promo recharge etc. So, now, I never recharge on my main balance, which is causing problems, if my call balance or sms balance finishes.


Again, they always send you sms for their offer and call you at odd hours which was not the case with my Airtel connection. They seem to be a low standard company and do not have much work ethics too.


Call rate is lower but then often the line is disrupted in between important conversation. Sms gets failed on several times and I need to re send it. Airtel was far far better in this regard.


Now, I am not in a position to replace this number as it is used for business communication and several clients are aware of this number and it is also given on several official documents. It would be an herculean effort again to change my number everywhere, so I am just tolerating this worthless operator. For internet, I already moved over to other mobile operator.


So, it is only a matter of time to change this connection.


I do not recommend it.
