I had the opportunity to fly
Air India and was plainly shocked at the kind of seats they have. Torn, cushions hanging, I was reminded of local bus service in Chennai where such torn seats are commonplace.
Air
hostesses had an air of authority in them and seemed to order the passengers about when boarding the plane and did not respond properly to passenger queries on when food will be supplied (luckily I was watching from behind as one of the passengers who was seated in one of the front rows was asking for when food will be served and was rudely told it will be served when it will be served (as in when the time comes)
The air hostess acted more like a teacher disciplining a student rather than as a service-minded person. The only positive point in the flight was the free beer and drinks which were given when asked for.
