Flew Delhi-London-Delhi with Air India.
Contrary to what I had been hearing it was not that bad.
Check-in was horrible, but that was more to do with number of passengers trying to push in 50kgs of luggage when only 30kgs were permissible. Pleadings, threats, bribes were being offered (we Indians never change).
Food was really great-hot and tasty.
Stewards were helpful and could manage people. One of the lady was sick and they were taking special care of her.
You could listen to music through headphones or watch movie on a big screen (which was difficult given improper lighting arrangement).
We started late (around half an hour) but reached well in time. The flight was smooth and captain regularly updated us on our status. He even apologised for delayed start from Delhi.
All in all decent experience.
The return flight was smooth as well apart from there were even more number of people wishing to checkin 50kgs of luggage this time.
