I have done my share of air travel, travelled Jet, jetlite, or sahara , King fisher, indigo, Go air, AI and DECCAN.
My share of travel has also shown me all the things that could go wrong... delays, and not asked for sky tour of city and too many of air port porblems starting from short run ways to bad weather.
But nothing that happend on a Deccan well not fly deccan flight. For a flight which is scheduled at 5:55 am and delayed by 30 min, on a cold dec morning I was refused check in at 5:30am,. I understand that rules mention about 30 min prior check in period but I am sure we all allow Deccan to fly us even when their flight is delayed by 2-3 hrs.
And not only that the check in counter lady first gives me a worng ticket for the same flight and says nth about coming in late. But when asked for a correction 10 min later she tells me I am late and its a "NO SHOW". I dont get any money back, no second flight nothing.
In her words - " If you are so keen on reaching Mumbai ( on a Mumbai - Bangalore flight ofcouse) , you should immediately book the next flight which has only one ticket left.... you will not get any thing back on this ticket. You are a no show pessanger and I can not help you. If you think I made a mistake, you can call up customer care and complain, but I am sure it wont help you."
I sure took her advise and did not call customer care and I hope you take my adivse and not fly DECCAN. Atleast try and be on time atleast 1 hr before departure even for a delayed flight.
