Well what can I say about the attitude of the employees. So I had this connecting flight from Goa to Los Angeles. I had Air India from Goa to Mumbai, and then another airline from there onwards. I had about 4 hours stopover at Mumbai. When I reached Goa airport, they told me the flight from Mumbai was delayed by couple of hours. Wow. Dont you!@#$% understand that I have a connection from Mumbai? Apparently you cannot trust any airline originating from India, for that matter. You have to keep aside about 6-8 hours for the 99% chance your flight will be delayed somewhere. Why? Because it is the employees of Air India who worry more about their 8 hour job, and living a happy personal life. The customers are like dreams - they come and go, so why worry about.
I missed the flight in Mumbai. Air France said, sorry . not their problem. It was only because one of Air France front desk employee, who recommended that I talk to Air India to help me continue with the journey. With two kids and wife, I waited for 6 hours before AIr India could put me on the next flight to Los Angeles via London. My kids slept on the benches at Mumbai airport, while for the next 6 hours I ran between Air France and Air India counters.
I wont mention that at London the connecting flight was in 30 minutes, and we literally ran for 20 minutes straight into the waiting aircraft. They closed the door right behind me.
I would give a day for stopover, if I ever have to use Air India
