This film is loosely based on the German 2002 mid air collision which ultimately led to the murder of the air traffic controller by a bereaved family member.
Firstly I have to say that overall I enjoyed this film and would say to anyone to give it a watch, although its very sad and depressing. I have a great love for Arnold Schwarzenegger since watching Maggie. He is actually a great actor once stripped away from typical typecast films he was once in and gives a powerful and emotional performance. Mcnairy also gives a fantastic performance as the guilt stricken air controller who is deemed/feels to have caused the whole incident.
There are a few niggles that annoyed me throughout the film, mainly with the opening 10 minutes leading up what the entire film is about. I dont understand why the airport satff appear to be so jolly and happy when they are aware of such a herrrendous incident thats just occured and are about to give such devastating news to over 300 families that there loved ones are dead nor would break this news alone.
The search scene also annoyed me slightly as this would 100% never happen. Only police members would actually conduct this in short intervals as its so horrendous to do.
So this is not a Good movie to see in 2017, there are better movies available. So don't waste your time in this boring movie.
