Munar is a nice place. I would encourage all to visit . However dont stay at Club Mahindra resort Munar.
I got taken in. Its a rip off. 5 Star prices for the room and food and 2 star room facilities.
I stayed for 3 nights this week and was completely let down. The room alloted to me had no ventilation. Only a door that had to be closed due to the cold and obviously when one is away sightseeing. The bathroom had a foul smell and the inner door was worn off. Just like a 2 star hotel in Guntur !! The geyser worked for 3 minutes at a time. Then cold water. The tea / coffee maker was filthy with water left in it by the previous occupant. The towels were smelly and torn at places. The pedestal fan made a noise while it worked.
I dont expect this when I pay 5 star rates. The staff agreed it was a bad room but were reluctant to change. Repeated reminders left me feeling foolish to keep asking so I gave up. They dont care.
The guest is treated differently from a member. Please dont be a member and lock your money for 25 years. A simple calculation will;l tell you you can get a better deal elsewhere. However any membership anywhere is a con game.
