Wish I trusted my partners judgement last night while deciding where to eat out! Since we just wanted to eat out for a change and did not want to splurge unnecessarily, we zeroed in on Yo China -
a place which serves Chinese food.
We climbed up three floors and the first thing to hit the olfactory senses was the soya sauce smell which one gets while passing by the roadside Chinese fast food outlets. Choosing to ignore that, we sat down. Needless to say, it was hot and we were expecting to enjoy our meal in the coolness provided by ACs. But that was not to be. The atmosphere was hot and sticky with no signs of any breeze to cool us. On asking one of the waiters, the answer we got was -Yes, AC is there. But where?
After sweating for some more time, we beckoned another waiter and requested for a little more coolness. It was then that we were told that the AC was not working since morning. There was no alternate provision of fans either. Not wanting to appear fussy, we quietly waited for our order to arrive, had as much as could be had, got the rest packed and paid the bill - which was quite another story!
The place is not maintained, it has nothing to lure you except the affordable prices and generous servings. It will be no surprise if it closes down soon.
I promised never to ask to be taken there to the obvious I told you so response, and went home totally disillusioned.
