If you are new in mumbai and want to have a reasonable place to consume food you have to visit Dadar west.
for Vegees you have one restaurant named Sujata near ranade road, very popular restaurant speciality punjabi dishes. Really are too good.
It it AC restaurant and with resonable price.

Just next to Sujata you will find Sujata Annexe again good veg restaurant with good chineese dishes, Liquor is also available here. dont forget to order for soya chilly dry best of all the dishes you will just love it. AC restaurant not that expensive good service and good food.

Hotel chandragupta at shivaji park dadar is one of the best non veg restaurants.
best soup- crab meat soup (manchow) and go for chicken biryani. Fired Rice are too good, though the rates are high.AC restaurant good service.

Hotel Party: do not visit not worth your money and is too expensive.

For veg Maharashtrian snacks go to Aswad, trupti, prakash.

If you like to hang around in barishta and ccd you can come down to shivaji park. Near shivaji park you will also find hotels like Nebula and Gypsy veg/non-veg restaurants rates are higher and quality od food and service as well.

vegees fond of sizzlers can vissit ovenfresh. good bread dishes.
