Sherlock novels were like box of chocolates. If you have tasted one you would never keep the box down until you ate the rest of the chocolates


This was the third book of the original Sherlock series. The stories are more than hundred years old but still we could enjoy the content because of the interesting script.


Sherlock was not a James bond, He solved the problems with his own intelligence. He had a logical solutions for every misery. That is why this character could stay beyond many years.


Author made it possible to have full length detective story without action or love or sex.


Yes, one hundred and twenty five years ago, Dr. Arthur Conan Doyle wrote this detective stories.


Till now Sherlock is the best Detective character ever.


Lets come back to the stories. I would like to tell few lines which explains the theme of whole story and makes it very interesting to read.


There are 12 stories in the book.


1. A scandal in Bohemia


In Scandinavia country, there was a king, His name is Bohemia. He wants to hide his past mistakes and to get married. He seeked help from Sherlock Holmes.


2. The read Headed League


Bank robbers were hiding in a bank. Watson and Sherlock make a hole in pawnbroker's shop and find a way to catch the robbers


3. The Case of Identity


A young lady Mary Sutherland had a problem before her marriage. Holmes would solve her problem


4. The Bascombe Valley misery


Inspector Lestrade asked Sherlock Holmes to help him in a Australian businessman's murder. Remaining story explained how he found the murderer.


5. The Five Orange Pips


After receiving a letter from India two people were died in an accident. Holmes traced and clearly explained why that accidents happened.


6. The Man with a Twisted Lip


A beggar killed a very famous businessman. At the end of the case Sherlock Holmes hided some secrets from businessman's wife.


7. The adventure of the Blue Carbuncle


Blue Carbuncle(Gemstone) stolen from a hotel and police arrested to a farmer. Sherlock found who the real thief and rescued the farmer


8. The adventure or the Speckled Band


A scars young lady and her father lived in a house. One day lady's sister murdered. Hence the lady was afraid that she would also be murdered. Sherlock and Watson found the real murderer.


9. The adventure of the Engineer's Thumb


An Engineers finger was chopped. Dr.Watson and Sherlock finds the case in a very interesting manner.


10. The adventure of the Nobel Bachelor


Inspector Lestrade asked help from Sherlock for a theft case. How he finds the thief is the remaining story.


11. The adventure of the Beryl Coronet


Lost of three precious gems that the banker had in his custody. Investigation done in the bankers house Sherlock found the accused with the help of the footprint.


12. The adventure of the Cooper Beaches


An unemployed young lady was offered a well paid job but with peculiar conditions. Watson and Sherlock found the mischief behind it and helped the lady.

Detective novel lover don't miss these book. I guarantee that new readers will have a different experience.
