I used AOL for almost 5 years. It was the service I started with when I first used the internet, and I liked it very much. Then service got bad and then worse. I was constantly getting knocked off, or just not being able to get online in the 1st place. The volumes of spam was horrible also.

The worst thing about AOL was trying to cancle service. ’’But sir, we will give you 6 months at a discount’’.... bla bla bla... no I am not happy and have already signed up with another ISP. ’’But sir .... bla bla bla’’. I wouldn’t recommend them as an ISP to my worst enemy. The price is horrible for what you get, 23.95 per month for dial up, or 55 + for dsl in my area. I got a dsl line for 26.95 per month, only 3 dollars more than what I was paying for AOL, and I get connection speeds around 1100 Kb/sec.
