I had booked ACT broadband couple of days before the Chennai cyclone on 12th Dec 16. I did not push them much as ACT incurred major damages due to cyclone and hence I patiently waited for more than a month to get my new connection. The worst part is that they didn't even have the courtesy to inform when they are likely to give the new connection. They in fact encashed the cheque as well for the first installment payment. After nearly a month, they sent an SMS stating new connections will be given by end of Jan'17. Now it is first week of Feb'17 and I am still awaiting my new connection. There customer service number was not reachable for near 1.5 months. I had dropped an email last week and still awaiting a reply from them. They don't even have the courtesy to reply the email. I haven't experienced such a pathetic customer service with any of my service providers in the past. I deeply regret having applied for ACT broadband connection. However good the broadband speed is, an unresponsive and inefficient customer service will make customer experience very unpleasant. A emphatic NO NO to ACT unless they change their attitude towards customers and customer service.
