You will get no customer service when you need it. Their favourite saying is "This is not possible."
I moved from the Netherlands about over 2 years ago and have been trying to close my Dutch bank
accounts down for the past 6 months. I have written letters (3 in total) and I have spent HOURS on the phone long distance trying to resolve the matter. They are most unhelpful, and will stone-wall you if you ask to speak to a manager or to another customer service representative. Then if you ask for their name they refuse to give it to you. I have tried to get the name of the branch manager where my accounts are located so I can send a letter directly to him to have my accounts closed and no one will give it to me.
I even had a friend in the Netherlands go in to the branch to get the name and contact number and they refused to give it out.
I have never felt so powerless in my life. I am being extorted for fees on an account I DONT WANT! I am incredibly angry with the way Ive been treated and I hope this serves as a warning to any potential customers to think twice about using this bank.
