I was a credit card holder of ABN AMRO bank from Jul’05 to Feb’06. In Feb 06 i came to Australia for my MBA a degree, till then I paid
my cr card well.
Then on 25th Aug 08 my parents in India got a phone call from some Delhi police person (assistant sub inspector) saying that non bail able warrants have been issued against me for non payment of bank dues and he threatened my father by saying that our sons whole life will be destroyed, on asking for the way out he told my father to call a advocate and fix things, father called that advocate and he said to deposit money asap oherwise its gonna be too late, my father got paniced and asked him the due amount, he said its Rs14204, father deposited the money in no time on the same day, on this the advocate charged another Rs4428 saying that its a court fee in his personel account.
My parents are still geting phone calls from ABN people to pay the amount.ur comments are welcome. pls tell me what bank can do in this situation.
