Fans of Lord of the Rings and fantasy-fiction won't be disappointed with the series. There's so much more to Game of Thrones just say a tale of kings and legends and creatures. It has every emotion so well put, characters that speak to you through chapters and twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat.
A fantastic series - the characters are complex, the relationships convoluted, strategy and intrigue. my only problem is the sheer number of characters in the book. you need a second screen to keep tab of whos who in the story!
What will grip you on this book is the essence of reality in the character sketch of each and every character. There will be light references to dragons and magic, but that's basically a prologue for the next books. The twist and turns are fantastic and will keep you hooked and guessing. And to top it all, there is a sense of evolving maturity in all the characters which impressed me the most. The plot may seem complicated initially, but it smooth ens out as you read furthur, and you're rewarded with some fabulous twists and deaths. Order this book. Give it some time. And you won't be disappointed.
