The alchemist : A magical Fable about following your dreams. Paulo Coelho may not be the best writer present but neither he is lesser than that. The plot of the alchemist revolves around a small boy Santiago. Who is in search of a treasure and his dreams, finds out the reality of life and all the philosophy which a saint tries his whole life to know. It was published way back in 1988.

Da Vinci Code : Combining the detective, thriller and conspiracy theory genres, Dan brown is successful with Da Vinci Code. It is said to be the sequel of his prior novel Angels and Demons. This novel was published back in 2003 and has generated lot of criticism and dizzy around. A movie is also in the pipeline based on the novel.

God of small things : it is a semi-autobiographical novel by the social activist and author Arundhati Roy.
