It would be quite difficult for me to point out which are the best 5 book I consider.  So instead of pointing out the best I thought it would be nice to mention about some of the good books

I have read so far and would wish to.

To begin with I fell in love with books and comics at the tender age of 4. I still have the collection of the first ever colourful picture books I possessed. My favorite authors at my young age were none other than ‘Enid Blyton’ and ‘Roald Dalh’. I enjoyed their books and loved their writing styles. The characters which attracted me the most were from the series, ‘The Famous Five’, ‘The Mallory Towers’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.

When I got a little older I started loving more of mysteries and detective collections and got closer to Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys. It was by my age of 12 when I read ‘Heidi’ by ‘Joanna Spyri’. It was Heidi that took me into a new view away from my usual books. I explored a new world into reading and dreamt about a care free life in the mountains like Heidi. My ventures to read more interesting books lead me to ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ by ‘Frank Baum’. I was fascinated by the determination of Dorothy to reach back home after being carried away to a magical land by a cyclone. It was by 14 that I read ‘Anne of Green Gables’ and ‘Anne of Avonlea’ by ‘L.M.Montogomery’. It was yet again the little orphan girl Anne that amazed me about the wide imaginations she could create about the small things anyone would ignore in life. What I loved about Anne was that like me she too chatted all the while without giving any rest to her mouth. But I always wished if I too could imagine

Moments in my life like Anne. During the same period I read ‘The Secret Garden’ and ‘The Little Princess’ by ‘Burnet’. My ages of 15 and 16, I became a great fan of J.K.Rowling’s books on Harry Potter’s adventures. I enjoyed reading about the life of the boy wizard and about his friends at the school of Hogwarts.

It was by 17, I got closer to books by, Judy Blume and Sydney Sheldon.

I got myself drifted to a new area of matured books by now. At present I am 18 and am reading ‘Arundadi Roy’s’, ‘God of Small Things’ and ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by ‘Jane Austen’. I am thoroughly enjoying the classic works and am looking forward to read ‘The Da Vinci Code’ soon.
