The name : 100 Feet restaurant. So called because it is situated on 100 Feet Road in Indranagar, Bangalore.

The Ambience : Seating at two levels : both on the ground floor : small
tables set right from the main entrance and on the first floor : on the open terrace overlooking the road. I always prefer to sit on the terrace where the seating is cool and comfortable.

The USP : It calls itself a boutique restaurant. Everything in it is for sale. Including the table and chair that you sit on. And loads of attractive crockery, cutlery, pretty mugs, lamp-shades, even some furniture pieces.

So, if you don’t want to sit and make small talk with your dinner companions after ordering your food, you can browse around the shop.

There usually is no waiting time and even if there is no free table, your wait will not be boring......

I don’t think you can buy anything though, because the prices are too high. Me-thinx Not Value For Money at all..... it’s USP is its FOOD.

The food : Yummy continental food. I can vouch for the soups, my favourites being the French Onion Soup (called Zuppa Cippoli, if I remember right) and Potato Leek Soup. Although I hear that they keep changing the menu from time to time.

And the starters are also delectable, and include some exotic stuff such as crostini and some Mediterranean foods. Go for these even if you have to go easy on the main course.

The main course includes a choice of pasta, risotto, lasagna and so on. It is usually sufficient for two people; if you have followed my advice and gorged on the soups / starters / salads ! Even otherwise, I find the helpings quite generous and filling.

And after all this, if you still have space in your stomach, go for the desserts. The Tiramisu melts in the mouth. Forget stomach space. Plain greed will do !

A word of caution : I am a vegetarian. But given the quality of the food I have tasted, I have no reason to believe that the non-veggie fare will be any different.

The Service : excellent service, ready to please waiters, comfortable atmosphere.

The final word: Ideal for an enjoyable leisurely evening meal. With friends. Family. Your Special One. Alone.....
