Last night, 7.00pm -I tell Aruna ''Gosh I am so stressed, been working for so many hours and now another deadline to meet tomorrow''

Aruna - ''Tell me about it - today my boss was so tensed and I was at the receiving end ''

8.00pm - Aruna calls me ''Hey its the Ladies Night at TDS (as 10 Downing Street is popularly known as) so y don't we head there?''

8.30pm - Find ourselves surrounded with beautiful floating candles, flowers, dim light, awesome musik and drinks on the house - way to go!

9.30pm - Aruna, me n a whole truck load of gals hit the dance floor and rock the night away

12.30pm - Back home sleeping without a care in the world...

Cut to the present, 10am - At office, staring at my comp - suffering from last night’s party hangover, wondering where to begin my work and on second thots I might as well write a revu 'bout the place.

I've been to TDS umpteen times n still keep going –(is it me who get bored of the same things easily??)

Well for one Hyd'bad has very few pubs to offer and 2.TDS never ever gets boring, see Point2 if u dun believe me.

TDS definitely deserves 4 stars on all possible aspects

Ambience:

Very much British with cool leather upholstery and if you happen to sit next to the bookshelf you would feel as if u r transported to the residence of the British Premier.

The comfortable leather sofas look so inviting and you would definitely feel like curling up in one after reaching out for a book and you can do so if you visit it in the afternoons when the music is more sober.

The bar in the centre is the usual one with seating around it but u would b better off in a corner or on the sofa.

Variety:

It offers a whole range of programs for the entire week - Mondays it is good old rock nights, which I can't write much on (after the weekend partying can't venture out on a Monday!!)

Wednesdays is the Ladies Night - this is the place we Hyd'bad women head to, daring all those offers from dudes to buy us drinks.

Thursdays is the chance for u to attack the audience with your singing prowess - the Karaoke Nights.

Fashion Fridays beckons one n all with the glitz n glamour of the fashion world.

And enjoy the Sundays with End Of The Day Lounge Night - just a day to sit back n relax preparing yourself for the coming week (or is it pondering over the last week??)

Food:

One of the reasons for TDS' popularity is the excellent food they serve. From steaks to Pepper Chicken, the Indian, the Chinese and Continental - they are a treat to our taste buds. The Corporate lunch offer is another no-miss - shell out just 'bout a 100 bucks n enjoy the veg or non-veg platter along with a mug of beer thrown in as complimentary. If you are there in the evening the Cheese Omelet is a must try.

Drinks:

Well, well what can one say 'bout them, you would get the choicest cocktails n mock tails - the Tequila Sunrise and Margarita being the most popular and for those of you who don't drink, don't miss the ''Mango Bloom'' - an exotic Mocktail.

The price for drinks is a little on the higher side but what the heck - its worth it.

Music:

This is one thing that is toughest for the DJ 'coz he gets as many requests as the people-from Ozzy to Hindi remixes - n what is he supposed to do?? Not disappoint those who want to dance of course. So all those people who want great music then this is not the place for u. This place is just music for your feet - got to get on your toes n dance till your feet ache.

Location:

Its right in the centre of the city housed in the same building as ''Lifestyle'' in Begumpet and is a stone's throw from all other happening places like ''Somajiguda'' or “Banjara Hills”.

Value for Money:

Most of the days the entry is free but on special occasions they charge 500 per couple which is redeemable. The drinks are a little expensive but the excellent food more than makes up for the price. All in all it is good value for money.

I think the only thing which I don't like 'bout this place is, it is not too spacious and if u happen to be here on Valentine's Day or Diwali night you wouldn't be able to dance without stepping on someone else's toes. Also the place closes too early - 12.30pm but they can't be blamed 'coz unfortunately it is the rule made by the AP State Police.

I would recommend this place to all...

For those stressed out at work n need a break

For couples who want to hang out at a cool place

For newcomers to the twin cities

For the visiting foreigners in town looking for a decent pub

For all those party animals who want to let their hair down

But don't forget one thing -do leave all your inhibitions at home before venturing in the direction of TDS.
