I am an Avon Distributor and when I started this business, I came across an amazing range of lip colours.

Avon has lip colours which range from very reasonable rates to somewhat expensive but if you compare with other brands, the ’’somewhat expensive’’ range in Avon is equivalent to the normal pricing of the lip colors of other brands like Orchid, Oriflame, etc.

The cheapest range in Avon is the Colour Trend lip colours. This set of colors come with matching nail polishes too. The covering is pretty sleek. It has a black body with a smoky transparent cover which is easy to close and the cover remains pretty firm. This range of lipsticks are good for daily wear and are very cool for college girls. The colours are vibrant and it adds lot of jazz to smart and casual outfits. The disadvantage of these colours are that it does not stay for a very long time. You would have to reapply this lipstick at least once or twice in the day depending on how often you tend to eat your lipstick.

In India it costs about Rs 75/-.

Colour trend also sports a sheer gloss lipstick which is a good thing to wear if you dont like wearing lipstick. There are three colours (Peachsickle, Shimmer Pink and Mocha-Cino) in this range and you can alternate between them according to your dresses. This gloss is very good and keeps your lips moist and supple.

The next range of lipsticks which I personally find real cool is the Color Rich Renewable Lipstick. This lipstick is creamy and is renewable. You just need to rub your lips together when you feel that the colour is wearing off. The colour sets back again. The micropigments are released all the time you wear this colour and this brings the colour back. This lipstick also contains moisturiser which keeps your lips soft. There are lots of colours available. But I recommend that you dont go by the brochure. You better ask your Avon distributor to show the testers. This range is excellent for office wear and it keeps you looking fresh and beautiful all day long.

Another favourite of mine is Maximum Color Creamy Matt Lipstick. This consists of some very cool colours and the matt finish is amazing.Its not too dry and not too creamy . Just right to give that matt finish and make your lips look great. All the colours are real cool. My favourites are Blackberry, Purple Passion and Butternut.

The price of both the above ranges are 100/- for the 2.5 gm and 175/- for the 4gm stick.

Transfer Resistant Lipstick is the best among lip colours. There are two types of them one is with SPF 15 and one is just a transfer resistant lipstick with sunscreens. Both the lipsticks have cool colour. But dont expect a wide variety of colours. You will find a limited stock of colours in India. But the colours available are cool. I would recommend Best Brown and Grapest for everyday use. The best part about the lip colour is that the lipstick is very light on the lips and lasts whole day long inspite of having coffee, tea.. any number of times...
You would feel as if you havent applied any lipstick at all.. yet you will look great...

The price of this range is on the higher side, Rs 225/- but I think its a great investment for ladies...

Avon has also come up with Liquid Lip Colour which is priced at Rs 225/-. This product is lightweight and is super moist. If you are into liquid lip colour, you can definitely try this. It makes a good wear when you are going for parties or for pubs.

I repeat, before buying any lipstick do try out the testers. Do not go by the colours in the brochure.
