This is one amazing utility which all of you IE fans must have. This is the best piece of software I have seen. Well I have been using it for 3 days now. So, OK I get easily impressed (or depressed). Sue me. But please download this. If you have downloaded the browser Opera 5.0 and are loving it, but also you feel guilty for having dumped IE. Then make no delay. Download this baby. Because what it does is that it basically converts the IE into an Opera-like browser. NetCaptor uses IE as an engine and operates the browser. It is like you want to fly a plane but you can’t. So you hire a pilot who obviously can. The most amazing thing is that this download is only of 1.41 or 1.49 MB. As of now I am gradually discovering the benefits of this browser visa-vis IE 5.5 . So do not expect me to get too technical. All I can say is that this software enables IE to function like Opera. Another thing NetCaptor uses the IE engine alright. But IE does not disappear from your Comp. You can use your normal IE as before. And you can use both of them at the same time as well. Benefits noticed so far are improved speed, nice keyboard shortcut keys (like Opera). Fav option is the Shift+Click option. Allows you to open multiple windows at a time. All the windows have a tab inside the software. That means no cluttering of those minimized pages at the bottom of your screen. You can start by opening multiple windows as well. That means you can have any number of homepages you want. All of them will load when you open up. One big pro that I know of is that F8 key. Try opening my homepage or an other site which offers free hosting. Chances are that along with the page you intend to open there will be a pop-up ad or some other annoying page. You can press F8 and add this unwanted page to POPUP CAPTOR. This means you will never view that page with the page you wanted to open. Of course it confirms with you if you want to. There is an option for not confirming that too. Another thing UNLIKE OPERA this is not ad-sponsored. It is a freeware utility. So no more ads. It has also that amazing Toggle Images option from Opera. Cons: Not many. But this software is from the same people who gave us NetSonic that inexcusable, idiotic, space-eating, privacy invading, maddening, Spam-multiplying utility. And of course gator as well. So I am not sure that privacy policies are best addressed here. I will only be able to tell you definitely maybe after some days. I installed IE 5.5 a few days before. I have a P II and it takes really a lot of time to start the browser ever since. It is a lot more stable though. I get no errors as I used to get in IE 5 which I mentioned in my review on the same. But Net Captor takes about the same time to start as IE and is way faster in beginning than Netscape or Opera. In my case the delay is due to my IE 5.5 . Well I would request those of you who have IE 5 to stick with it and please download this utility and let me know as to how the speed factor works out. Like in IE you can check mail via your default mail program. And for the skeptics just download this one. See how it works. Like it keep it, don’t like it dump it.
