KanyaKumari is a beautiful place to visit if you are looking out for peace and relaxation. I had been there on a planned holiday. But I guess you can make it for a vacation trip too !! The best way to
go about it to board a train from Chennai. Takes 20 hours and lo and behold you are there !!
The hotels are again expensive .. so I have a better alternative !!! Vivekananda Ashram. There is a counter in the railway station itself. You can contact the person there and he will direct you there !!! There its simple living high thinking concept .. This ashram has all the facilities ... a room would cost you as much as 100/- plus !!! There is a big canteen where food is served !! All unbelievably very cheap.
There are bus facilities which takes the people to the beach where you can board the ferry to Vivekananda Rock. The bus takes you to places of interest. It will cost you a bare minimum.
This is a place where one must visit if one comes to KanyaKumari. The best part of my stay was the sunrise and sunset view from the beach. The Ashram has its own Private beach which is very clean and very relaxing !! Its a small paradise on earth !! The whole ashram is very organised. There is a good library if you just want to pass your time.
The rock has its own charm. It’s a cool experience riding thru the rough waves of Indian ocean and reaching this place. The sight seeing is also very organized... But I would reccomend you all to go there to chill out not sight seeing !!!
This is a place where you can relax and feel at home.
So do go there when you want to just chill out !!!
