Last week we had this 3 days holiday coming and Tired of everyday routine, Traffic, Pollution, Stress and was thinking of going to Mussourie or some place to release some pressure just then ... one of us had heard about khirsu and insisted on going to khirsu and as the place seemed new to us we started our journey in my newly bought Santro Xing along with my 3 other friends. Khirsu is situated near Pauri (19 Kms ). Khirsu gives a panoramic view of the snow clad himalayan ranges just as in Dhanaulti The route is Rishikesh - Devprayag - Pauri - Khirsu There is a very well maintained guest house of GMVN situated in a very scenic location in khirsu. Although you wont find any Mall road , Waterfall, Lake or anything like that If you wish to just have your fresh air , nice nap, this is the place ... On our way back we thought of having a change and instead of returning via rishikesh we followed the Buwakhal-Kotdwar-Najibabad-Haridwar route although this route was bumpy as on the way we found *Deepak ??? working hard to give us the pleasure of a safe ride. All the way we had the signs which said that deepak was working and we all kept wondering who this deepak was... * Deepak is the symbol of BRO and all the way you could find sign boards saying that ’’Deepak Kam kar raha hai’’
