Ever since I started experimenting with eyeliners, I have found that liquid is the most versatile. It does not run or smudge like eye pencils, which is a plus if you use moisturiser or your skin is oily. This liquid liner by Cover Girl is no exception. I chose the brown shade since I have green eyes and fair skin. Black would make me look like a goth princess. The application process takes some practise since it requires a steady hand to apply a liquid. I put all of my other make-up on first before I use the liner except for mascara. I just stand close to the mirror and keep my eyes open while I line them. First, I line the entire upper lash line starting from the inside working out, being careful not to extend the line too far. You can control how thick or thin you want the line by hand position. Angling the felt tip makes a thicker line. I like a mid sized line just to accentuate my eyes. Then, I line my entire lower lashline going the same direction as I did on the upper line. I usually use the same thickness of a line on both lash lines. I always make sure to have some Q-tips handy to swipe mistakes without disturbing the line. I line my eyes almost every day as part of the make-up routine, and I love the Cover Girl liquid liner because it stays put all day, it is water proof, but it is still easy to remove at the end of the day. The secret is to practice. The only draw back is that like mascara, you have to throw away liquid liner after 3 months, unlike a regular pencil liner that you can keep forever.
